Pro 7-Zip (com.easy.decompress.unrar.archiver) does not require an account. This page explains what we store, and how to ask us to delete it.
We never receive your files. The contents of your files, their file names and their folder paths stay on your device. Passwords you type to open an archive never leave it either.
What we store on our own servers
When a compression, extraction or repair job finishes, the app may upload a diagnostic record so we can find and fix failures. That record contains:
- a random installation ID generated on your device — the diagnostic ID below. It is not your Google account, not your phone number, and not your device advertising ID;
- device facts: manufacturer, model, chipset, RAM, CPU architecture, Android version, network type and country;
- app version, and whether the app is in premium mode;
- information about the operation: archive format, size in MB, number of files, whether the archive was password-protected, how long it took, and any error codes;
- the IP address the upload came from, recorded by the server.
How to send a deletion request
- Open Pro 7-Zip and tap the menu icon at the top left of the Home screen to open the About panel.
- At the bottom of that panel, next to the app version, there is a short code of eight letters and digits — for example Version: 2.5.6 · 4464c714. Tap that code to copy the full diagnostic ID to your clipboard.
- Email that ID to us with the subject Pro 7-Zip data deletion request.
We need the diagnostic ID because it is the only key that identifies your records — without it we cannot tell your data apart from anyone else. We delete every matching record, including the stored IP addresses, and reply to confirm, normally within 30 days.
If you have already uninstalled the app and no longer have the ID, email us anyway and describe roughly when you used the app. We will do what we can, but we may not be able to locate the records.
Deleting data held on your device
Your extraction history, trash bin and settings are stored only on your phone. Uninstalling the app, or choosing Settings → Apps → Pro 7-Zip → Storage → Clear data, removes all of it, and also resets the diagnostic ID.
Data held by third parties
Some data is held by the providers listed in our Privacy Policy rather than by us, and has to be handled through them:
- Analytics and crash reports — Google (Firebase). These are tied to an identifier Google generates; clearing the app data resets it.
- Advertising — Google AdMob and Unity Ads, which use your device advertising ID. You can reset or delete that ID in Settings → Google → Ads on your device.
- Purchases and subscriptions — Google Play. We cannot delete purchase records held by Google; manage them at play.google.com.
Retention
Diagnostic records are kept only as long as they are useful for fixing the failures they describe, and are deleted on request as described above.
